Chilliwack World Trade University
The World Trade University is coming to Chilliwack's Canada Education Park.
The WTU could have as many as 600 students studying in Chilliwack and its international programs would be managed from its Chilliwack headquarters at the Canada Education Park. Also in the Canada Education park will be a new UCFV campus, expanded space for the Justice Institute of BC and leasing opportunities for research-related industries. The WTU program at Canada Education Park would offer postgraduate level studies in trade and related subjects to students from all over the world.
The World Trade University (WTU) is a United Nations global education and partnership initiative that focuses on providing advanced educational opportunities in world trade to entrepreneurs and executives in developing countries and emerging economies.
All of WTU's global activities are managed by the WTU Global Secretariat located in Chilliwack at the Canada Education Park. The World Trade University will attract hundreds of students and executives each year to the Chilliwack region through its various programs and activities.
The Chilliwack World Trade University will provide services in three main areas:
- Education Programs - a 16 month graduate-level academic program leading to International and Executive MBA's in a variety of trade-related disciplines, as well as a 2 week Executive Development Program (EDP)
- Global Platform Events - a series of international conferences and events aimed at connecting global executives and entrepreneurs with international trade experts
- Global Services - WTU will provide trade services in support of the knowledge and relationships developed in the first two strategic areas
