Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve Distance: up to 5km Difficulty: Easy Description: Explore a Interpretive Centre and a gravel trail system adjacent to the Great Blue Herons' nesting grounds and the Chilliwack River. The undyked floodplain habitat is home to over 90 Great Blue Heron nests and a wide variety of rare wildlife and vegetation.

Location: Located at the southern end of Sumas Prairie Rd. Directions from Hope: Highway 1 Exit 116 (Lickman Rd.) south. Drive 3km, turn right on Keith Wilson Rd., drive 3km, turn left on Sumas Prairie and travel 1km to the parking lot. Directions from Vancouver: Highway 1 exit 109 Yale rd West. Travel east 2.5km to Sumas Prairie Rd. Turn right and drive 4km.
